Cancellation policy
Deposits are non-refundable.
If you cancel please contact us as soon as possible – We require minimum of 14 days notice of cancellation of your booking. We cannot issue refunds for cancellations made within the 14 day period prior to your arrival date, regardless of the reason. (e.g. to cancel a booking starting Saturday 17th July you must inform us by Saturday 3rd of July to receive a refund of your balance payment).
Please note that in the event you cannot give 14 days notice, an offer to alter the date may at the manager’s discretion be made as a gesture of goodwill. However, in this instance, any cancellations of this revised date will not be refundable (even if made 14 days prior to the newly offered dates). The rules of the original booking/date will still apply.
We strongly recommend you take out travel insurance to cover you in case you or one of your party fall ill, have an emergency, bad weather, car breakdown, bereavement or for any other reason cannot come as we cannot refund your booking once you’re within 14 days of your arrival date.
At the end of the booking process, you may be offered the opportunity to take our holiday insurance through Booking Protect. Please note that you are under no obligation to take this insurance and you are free to take out alternative insurance or none as you wish. Please ensure that you have read and understood their terms and conditions and what cover they provide to ensure it is right for you. Any questions about this service should directed to info@booking protect.com. Our cancellation policy and terms and conditions still apply.
Site terms and conditions
Pitch prices are for 2 people plus caravan/tourer/tent. Extra adults or children 5 or over, incur an extra charge. There is no extra charge for awnings, dogs, car (one), hair dryers, hot water or showers. Extra cars incur a charge (See above).
Electric pitch prices cover all pitches on the main site. They are not discounted if electricity is not needed.
Guests are asked to vacate the site on the day of departure by 11:00am.
New arrivals should arrive after 2:00pm.
There is a chemical toilet available onsite and communal water taps around the site. We regret water & drainage facilities for motorhomes are not available on the pitches.
The maximum number of people allowed on a pitch is 6 (including children). This is to ensure that the site does not become overcrowded and that the experience of staying at Treglisson is made more enjoyable for all.
Caravans and campervans may use grass pitches but motorhomes must book hardstanding pitches. Twin axle caravans can only use certain pitches. Please let us know when booking which vehicle you have.
We are a small site, pitch sizes can accommodate a standard caravan with modest awning or an 8 man tent (Max size for tents is 7m) – plus one car. Not all pitches are suitable for double axle caravans, large awnings or large tents. You must be able to fit your tent/caravan, awning AND your car on your pitch. If in doubt please ask.
Only 1 car per pitch please as there is very limited parking. Extra cars will be chargeable. Max 5mph on site to keep it safe for all. Please park your car as directed by the site owners. Do not park on the play area or obstruct others. Please do not park on the grass verges at any time.
Unless you have a sewn-in groundsheet, all ground sheets must be breathable to ensure that the pitches remain in a healthy state for subsequent guests.
There is free access to a freezer for bagged/named freezer blocks. Battery packs may be recharged on request.
Washing powder is available free for your use in the laundrette.
Please arrive in plenty of time to pitch your tent in daylight and let us know ten minutes prior to your arrival. If you think you are going to arrive later than 8.00pm please let us know.
We strongly advise booking if you are intending to visit us during the school holidays.
Non-electric pitches, on our secondary site, are available during the summer holidays and May/June half term only.
Treglisson is a quiet, rural site and we request that noise is kept to a minimum between 10.30pm and 8.00am.
No stag or hen parties or large single sex groups please.
Dogs and other pets
We are a dog friendly campsite, but only well-behaved dogs please. Dogs should stay on their leads on the site, even if your dog is the most well behaved dog – we have to consider all other guests who may be scared, allergic, own a dog that doesn’t mix well – or campers who just aren’t that keen.
We currently do not charge extra for dogs, but should dog poo be found on the grounds, we may have to start charging – so please bag up your dog poo and dispose of it appropriately in the main black general waste bins.
Maximum of 2 dogs per site, except by prior arrangement.
If you plan to bring any other animal (i.e. cat) onto site please let us know in advance. As with dogs, cats are to be kept on harness if outside onsite and should use a litter tray which must be disposed of in a sanitary fashion.
Recycling
We provide recycling bins for mixed dry recycling and separately for glass – please use these bins as much as you can and crush down your bottles and cans.
Please do not place bags with a mixture of recycling and other waste in recycling bins.
Please ensure food waste, dog poo bags, nappies (even if they are biodegradable) or hazardous items such as gas canisters are NOT put in recycling bins. Please use separate bin for glass recycling.
Unfortunately we cannot yet recycle food waste, so this needs to go into the main waste bins.
Please do not leave unwanted or broken items at Treglisson – especially air beds, old tents, gazebos or camping chairs. Or hazardous items such as gas canisters. There is a dump at St Erth (10 minute drive) where these items can be taken.
We do not sell or recycling gas canisters. Please do not put in the recycling. Please take them to your nearest garden centre or the dump at St Erth.
